Changes to Homepage and Menus
|
The MyVRSpot development team has been hard at work this summer, implementing exciting new changes to the MyVRSpot Menu items. The first major change to the menu item is the renaming of the Create Menu to the Media Tools Menu. The new Media Tools Menu includes all of the recorder tools, the image and video creation/editing tools, access to MediaSpot, and is where you can find access to create and update district, school, and classroom Showcases.
The next thing you might notice is that the Admin menu is no longer displayed. Most of the items that were located in the Admin menu can now be found by clicking the new Admin Tools icon at the top of the page.

From creating new Users to accessing all media and managing Pending Media, you will find all administrative tools in this new section. Lastly, you will also find a new All Users icon in the top menu bar, allowing you to quickly display all Users within your organization for easy User management. The updates don’t stop there! Users in districts whose administrators opt to enable the new Media Notes feature can now insert text-based notes at any point throughout a video. Think of it like jotting down a note in the margin of a document; any quick piece of information that you want to display alongside a video can be inserted at your desired timestamp. Turn any video into a multimedia experience by inserting thought-provoking observations or discussion points for viewers to see when they watch your video. Students with MyVRSpot accounts can even take Notes on videos created by themselves or their teachers, making it easy to keep track of questions and observations they make throughout the learning process. New Partnership with ParentSquare
|
MyVRSpot is excited to announce its new partnership and system integration with ParentSquare. If your district is a ParentSquare customer, this new integration will allow you to easily add any of the videos from your MyVRSpot account directly into a ParentSquare post. Whether you are an administrator looking to share a video message with all the parents in your district, or a teacher wanting to share a video with the parents of a particular class, sharing of video through ParentSquare has never been easier.
