Instructional Inspiration

February may be the shortest month of the year but it's filled with lots of great inspiration for instructional activities. First of all, it's Black History Month! Why not have your students use the built-in Image Creator to make timelines of influential Black Americans? Also this month we have Valentine's Day and Presidents' Day! Your students could use MediaSpot to create valentines between well-known literary characters or you could engage them in presidential content through our VRS tool. The possibilities are endless! Check out the instructional examples below for inspiration!

New Feature - Recorder Tools
|
You can now PAUSE during a recording!
Thanks to popular demand, our development team has rolled out an update to all three of our recorder tools. You can now PAUSE while creating Audio, Video, and Screen Recordings! Simply click Record as usual, but now when you get that unexpected interruption and need to pause, click the Pause Recording button. Once you are ready to resume recording, click the Resume Recording button. It’s just that simple!

Make Some Noise with our Video Editor Update!
|
Our Video Editor recently received some fantastic updates that are really making some noise. Would you like to add background music or sound effects to one of your videos, or maybe narrate a video clip with your own voice? All users can now access our built-in library of over 1,000 music and sound clips to be inserted as background sound for any video. All audio files are separated into various categories for easy searching, and can be accessed by clicking the Audio icon on the left hand side within the Video Editor. To add your own Voiceover recording, just click the video track you are working with, then click the Voiceover button. Click the Start Recording button and the video will start playing while you record your narration. You’ll find it’s easier than ever to create captivating and professional videos with these new tools.

Keep on the looking for several new features being released over the next few months! Our TEAMS functionality is expected to release later this month, which gives a group of Users the ability to share administration and management capabilities over a specific library of media. If multiple members of your department or academic TEAM need access to original video files for sharing, editing, and collaboration, then this new TEAMS function is for you. Later this Spring, we will also be releasing a new student safety tool, a major update for closed captioning of videos, new system integrations, and much more!
