NEW FEATURES, NEW SOLUTIONS, NEW NAME
|
We have completed development on several major new features, which has led us to a big name change. As of October 1st, our Video Editor will be replaced with My Studio, which better represents the full suite of creation and editing tools that will be released this weekend.
Here are the three major features:
- Green Screen: You can now take your video projects to a whole new level using the built-in green screen tool. This allows you to add various images or videos as the background of your green screen/chroma key video project.
- Picture in Picture: The picture-in-picture feature allows you to add a second video to your existing video, resize it and move it to the desired location on screen. This is a great feature when producing a morning news show with a sports or weather segment, or if wanting to include a video with ASL interpretation.
- Image Library: In addition to the audio library added last Spring, you can now add images from the new image library, directly to your video project. The library contains thousands of K12 appropriate images in various curriculum areas. Learn more about the Image Library in the article below.
With these new features, combined with the existing audio library, voice over feature and video editing tools, the new My Studio takes the power of video creation and editing to a whole new level.

MYVRSPOT'S NEW IMAGE LIBRARY
|
While the development plans called for adding an Image Library to the new My Studio tool, it quickly manifested into something much bigger. As a full online multimedia platform where you can create your own content, we decided to make our custom K12 friendly image library not only available in My Studio, but these images can also be used throughout the system.
Administrators are able to add any of the Image Collections to their school(s), and then teachers and students are able to view those images, and add any of them directly to their MyVRSpot account. Once an image is in your account, you can easily edit it using the Image Editor tool, (maybe add a text overlay, background or frame), or you can add it to a MediaSpot project or Showcase. Click the Learn How button below to view a video on how to Add an Image Collection to your school(s), as well as how to add images from the collection to your personal MyVRSpot account.

With MyVRSpot's Showcase feature, you can now "showcase" an unlimited number of videos on your district, school. or classroom website, in a video-on-demand format. All videos are added and removed from that website from your MyVRSpot account with a click of a mouse. From school board meetings, athletic events, and campus tours, to sharing a library of instructional videos for students and parents, adding content to your website or LMS is just a click away.
