New Feature: Media Badging
We are so excited to be releasing our new micro-credentialing tool, more commonly referred to as "badges". When enabled for your district, administrators and teachers alike are able to create and then grant badges to those that have completed specific tasks. These badges can act as awards or proof of completion for viewing certain media or a collection of media. Whether you are an Administrator looking for an innovative solution for professional development, or a teacher trying to provide a little incentive to make sure all of your media is being viewed by your students, badging is a great way to go! The badging system will appear in the new Administrative Tools section at the top of the screen if enabled for your district.

ParentSquare Partners with MyVRSpot
MyVRSpot is excited to announce its new partnership and system integration with ParentSquare. If your district is a ParentSquare customer, this new integration will allow you to easily add any of the videos from your MyVRSpot account directly into a ParentSquare post. Whether you are an administrator looking to share a video message with all the parents in your district, or a teacher wanting to share a video with the parents of a particular class, sharing video through ParentSquare has never been easier. Call or email our support team today to have this integration activated for your district.

Update to the Live Broadcasting Player
If you use the MyVRSpot Live Broadcasting service, you may have noticed a change in the autoplay of streams recently. Due to new browser restrictions that block the autoplay of video, the MyVRSpot development team has turned off the autoplay of live streams. Users will need to press the play button to begin the stream with audio. While you can still edit your channel and turn autoplay back on, you’ll notice a caveat that your stream will be muted. Providing this work around is one way we are continuing to serve the needs of our customers, while adhering to new restrictions released by the most popular browsers. Please reach out to Support if you have any further questions!
